 U.G. Krishnamurti, who died at the age of 89 on March 22, 2007, was an enigma. He was sometimes referred to as the "anti-guru" because of his insistence that he was unable to help anyone find enlightenment. Indian film director, Mahesh Bhatt, summed up U.G.'s philosophy as such:
"The story of U.G. is the story of an ordinary man who refused to be treated like god. He scoffed at the 'god factory' and repudiated the lies churned out in the lie factories that run civilisation."
In his book Mind is a Myth, U.G. wrote:
"My teaching, if that is the word you want to use, has no copyright. You are free to reproduce, distribute, interpret, misinterpret, distort, garble, do what you like, even claim authorship, without my consent or the permission of anybody."

The Falun Dafa Association is a Buddhist organization that teaches its own form of the ancient Chinese exercise called Qigong (or ch'i kung). The organization is somewhat controversial due to its founder Master Li Hongzhi's claim that he is an actualized Buddha. The organization is outlawed in China and its practioners have been persecuted and even tortured by the Chinese government. The form of Qigong practiced by the Falun Dafa organization is one that Master Li Hongzhi created himself, and yet it has received high marks from other Qigong organizations not affiliated with the Falun Dafa organization.
The organization offers extensive free videos and texts with photos designed to help one practice Falun Dafa. If you are unable to afford the Qigong videos sold around the Internet, it may be worth your while to try these free videos.
